Otaru is well known for beautiful and intricate music boxes. A museum that contains exhibits about the development of music boxes, a collection of several notable music boxes, as well as an extensive store that carries many different types. For an additional fee, customers can build their own music boxes.

Music Box Making Experience

Music Box & Handicraft Studio "You-Kobo"

At this studio, visitors can experience of making their only one original music box and glass handicraft for their own memories or precious gifts. Basicaly, reservation is not necessary for doing this experience. Just show up and sign up for music box making. The price will be from 1,200YEN ～, and then the easiest one will be take about 30-45 mins.
