Ujigami-jinja Shrine / 宇治上神社

Uji is a small city to the south of Kyoto. Its main claims to fame are Byodo-in and tea cultivation. The stone bridge at Uji – the oldest of its kind in Japan- has been the scene of many bitter clasher in previous centuries. Uji is also home to Ujigami-Jinja. At the shrine there is a place which spring water is coming out, and this is the last one of total seven of Uji spring water. BUT, the spring water is not suitable for drinking now, so do not drink as memorial of visiting.

By Train
- From Kyoto St. -> (JR Nara Line) -> "Uji" St.
- Then walk about 20 mins to reach Ujigami Jinja Shrine
