Nikko Tosho-gu / 日光東照宮
[World Heritage] Tosho-gu was dedicated to Tokugawa Ieyasu, the founder of the Tokugawa shogunate(government). Initially built in 1617, during the Edo period, while Ieyasu's son Hidetada was shogun, it was enlarged during the time of the third shogun, Iemitsu. Ieyasu is enshrined this mausoleum.

Rinno-ji / 輪王寺
[World Heritage] Founded for the faith to mountain and its god in Nara period(8th century). In Edo period(17th-19th century), prospered by patronage of Tokugawa shogunate. This shrine is tne of the world heritage in Nikko Japan as same as being National tresure and National important cultural property.

Nikko Futarasan-jinja shrine (日光二荒山神社)
[World Heritage] Founded for the faith to mountain and its god in 767 A.D. (Nara period). A god was believed to dwell in Futarasan mountain.
